The Airtel Charitable Foundation Committee
The Airtel Charitable Foundation Committee manages the day-to-day administration of the Foundation with full powers to represent the Foundation in the pursuit of its objectives.
Olusegun Ogunsanya

Segun is the independent Chair of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority Board. He was Co-Chair of the B20 Task Force on Digital Transformation at the November 2025 G-20 Summit. Prior to these roles, Segun was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Africa plc until June 2024. With a career spanning more than 35 years in FMCG, Banking, and Telecommunications, he has gained extensive experience in business management across multiple countries in Africa. He is a fellow of several professional bodies.
Jaideep Paul

Jaideep is currently a Director at Emtel Limited, Mauritius. He has over 36 years of experience across multiple sectors, with more than 23 years in telecommunications. He has served as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer for Airtel Africa plc until July 2025. Before that he has served as Chief Financial Officer of Airtel Nigeria. His previous positions include various roles with Bharti Airtel, HCL, Telstra V-Com, Caltex, and Price Waterhouse. He is a qualified chartered accountant.
Annika Poutiainen

Annika is an Independent Non-Executive Director and sustainability champion at Airtel Africa plc. She is an experienced Board and Audit Committee member with a strong background in audit, regulation, and law. She was the inaugural executive chairman of the Swedish Financial Reporting Council, has served as chief legal officer for Trustly, chaired and served on boards and committees at several listed companies, and advised the Swedish government on EU financial regulation. Annika has also held senior roles at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority and Nasdaq, and previously worked as a solicitor in the UK.
Shravin Bharti Mittal

Shravin Bharti Mittal is the founder of Unbound, a long-term technology investment firm, and managing director of Bharti Global Limited. He sits on the boards of Oneweb Holdings Limited, Softbank Energy, and several tech companies such as mPharma and Cars24. His previous roles include working at the SoftBank Vision Fund and as assistant director at Better Capital in London, specialising in business restructuring. Shravin was instrumental in launching 3G at Airtel India and led post-acquisition integration at Airtel Africa. He has also worked in the technology, media, and telecoms sector at J.P. Morgan investment bank. Shravin is a nominee of Bharti Airtel Limited.
Garreth Spillane

Garreth Spillane is the Chief of Staff to the Chairman of Airtel Africa plc and also acts as Special Adviser to the CEO of Eutelsat. He sits on the boards of OneWeb and ORA. Previously, Garreth was Chief of Staff at the Global Innovation Fund, a multilateral investment fund focused on Africa and Asia. He also served as an adviser to the UK Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street. Earlier in his career, he was Chair of the European Alliance for Human Rights in North Korea. Garreth brings extensive experience in international advisory and governance roles across technology, investment, and human rights sectors.
